STRAND MEDIA POLICIES & TERMS
Thank you for choosing Strand Media. These policies are designed to create a smooth and professional experience for both the client and photographer. By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
• A signed agreement and any required retainer payment must be received before a session date is reserved.
• Dates and times are not guaranteed until booking requirements have been completed.
• Remaining balances must be paid in full before final images are delivered.
• Payments must be made using approved payment methods provided by Strand Media.
SESSION SCHEDULING
• Clients are expected to arrive on time and prepared for their session.
• Late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time.
• Additional fees may apply for coverage beyond the originally scheduled session time.
• Strand Media is not responsible for time lost due to client lateness.
RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
• Retainer payments are non-refundable.
• One reschedule may be permitted with at least 72 hours' notice.
• Requests made with less than 72 hours' notice may be denied or subject to additional fees.
• Sessions affected by severe weather or circumstances beyond either party's control may be rescheduled without penalty.
IMAGE DELIVERY
• Sports Photography: 3–7 business days
• Portrait Sessions: 7–14 business days
• Events: 14–21 business days
• Real Estate Photography: 24–48 hours
• Delivery timelines may vary during peak seasons.
EDITING & RAW FILES
• All images are edited in Strand Media's signature style.
• Editing decisions are made at the photographer's discretion.
• RAW files are not included with any photography package.
• RAW files remain the property of Strand Media and will not be released.
IMAGE SELECTION
• Strand Media reserves the right to select the best images from each session.
• Not every image captured will be delivered.
• Duplicate, test, out-of-focus, blinking, or technically flawed images may be removed.
COPYRIGHT & USAGE
• All photographs remain the copyrighted property of Strand Media.
• Clients receive a personal-use license for downloading, printing, and sharing images.
• Images may not be sold, altered, heavily edited, filtered, or submitted for publication without written permission.
COMMERCIAL USAGE
• Commercial use requires written approval and may require additional licensing fees.
• Commercial use includes advertising, marketing, websites, printed materials, and paid promotions.
PORTFOLIO & SOCIAL MEDIA USE
• Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Strand Media may use photographs for portfolios, social media, website galleries, and marketing purposes.
• Privacy requests must be made before the session.
GALLERY STORAGE
• Online galleries remain available for 90 days after delivery.
• Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images.
CLIENT CONDUCT
• Strand Media reserves the right to end a session without refund if any participant creates an unsafe, abusive, or threatening environment.
LIABILITY
• Strand Media is not responsible for missed photographs caused by venue restrictions, weather, schedule changes, or circumstances beyond the photographer's control.
• Liability is limited to the amount paid by the client.
AI USAGE
• Photographs created by Strand Media may not be used for AI training, machine learning datasets, or image-generation systems without written permission.
AGREEMENT
• By booking photography services with Strand Media, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and terms.
